Well, despite Kimp's reputation his little server efforts are progressive.
He has boldly taken the time to do what anyone wanting to, CAN do; code one's own server with the plethora of resources available.

He has knowledgeably, started with the open source version of the Elohim server and added features from the open source Quake community to further customize HIS server. This my friends was the standard in the late 90s. If you wanted your ONE of a hundred quake servers noticed apart the rest you had to modify it!

CRMOD is not open source. Quake isnt DEAD. iQUAKE is on the horizon.

Hey guys, remember when Splinter was banned? That was a good time.

Kimp's server is stupid. He has the ticrate and gravity all fucked up, you might as well play QW. Sounds, damage, spawn times and shaft is all fucked up too.

Kimp's server does suck badly, so bad that it should'nt even be recognized as a server that's playable. The ticrates all jacked up, you slide around everywhere when trying to strafe and yes, it was nice not having the rif-raf known as splinter around and seeing his stupid posts that made no sence.
