  • Seasons ...

Everyone has noticed the recent drama in the forums.

Every year, there is a horde of great stuff that happens around November and December and around Christmas.

And then in late February or March, for some reason you usually have drama in the forums where things go off-track a bit.

I knew it was coming ...

      Cabin Fever!

It's too cold to go outside and we get tired of minding our P(int)s and Q(uart)s

        My recent adventures include:

        1. Getting stranded 50 miles from home for 2 days because the roads were flat out dangerous with a thick 1 inch layer of ice. Felt like the Olympics! This was 2 weeks ago, maybe 3.

        2. Driving 30 miles per hour at night for 2 hours (Friday) on a 4-lane highway with my hazard lights on in heavy snow, occasionally being passed by another vehicle (but mostly not) and later seeing some of those cars/trucks on the side of the road in a ditch [And laughing a little: "Who is going faster now?"]. I also saw a tractor-trailer wrecked with a heavy duty tow-truck with its front wheels up in the air because the wrecked vehicle was too heavy.

This winter really mess been a mess weather-wise, at least in central Ohio and presumably the rest of the mid-West and the northeast.

I'll be happy when it is completely over.

It snowed here 4-5 times this winter! I live in Mississippi. In the past 20 years combined I can't remember seeing as much as I got to see this year. Put a bunch of us rednecks on the road in the snow for the first time it ain't pretty haha. I blame the Saints winning the superbowl. Hell is now freezing over.

I spent much of wednesday night driving on I-91 through VT at 30 MPH (they got 15-20" of snow).

Funny how those F 350's pass you at 60 in the icy passing lane, but then you see them later on the ditch, police all over, slowing us down even more...

15-20" Good lawdy. We got 6 and I was for sure I could host the olympics. I like my 100 degree weather with 100% humidity. Forget the snow.

Hehe, my drive was at night and took forever. It was a level 2 snow emergency and I figured at 30 mph in a 4 lane highway, even if something "bad" happened that just isn't enough speed to wreck or get injured.

Traffic was scarce, I put my hazard lights on so I wouldn't have to deal with an impatient bastard getting the idea I had any intent to speed up, but as it was most everyone else on the highway was driving very slow.

We haven't had anything like Vermont level snow here, it is funny how 6 inches in the right conditions can be a major problem.

Sometimes when the temperature hangs slightly above and slightly below freezing can be the most dangerous because it melts and freezes, versus if it were well below freezing that doesn't happen.

We did had 18 inches of snow in a single night back 2 years ago. And for the following 2 days it was absolutely pointless trying to drive, assuming you could even get out to do so.

Can't even imagine snow like that. Got a few inches for sure, but it mostly froze in and was utterly treacherous to go anywhere/do anything. Fortunately I was at home for the worst of it, but I did go half doolally with cabin fever (aside from the occasional trip across the street to buy cigarettes).

Me, I just don't do cold. I like my climate dry, sunny and touching on 40 degrees (in new money), which unfortunately we never get (north/north-west Europe sucks). Gotta arrange another holiday to the Middle East soon.

Not joking, check all the stats, many scientists say there is no such thing as global warming.

Governments across the world are hoping to cause a shift which will also recover some of the economy with an entire new sector of "Green", jobs, money, etc. It's a great idea during a recession, and it's how they sprinkle innovation into our lives in order to bring the next 'age' about. Apparently there was a summit held a few years back in the United States and over a 122 scientists voted that global warming does not exist and will not happen.

There is a lot of evidence against global warming, for one, there is no evidence or fact of a connection between CO2 heating up the atmosphere, in fact, many scientists believe CO2 cannot even reach or enter the atmosphere to cause such a change, yet, many 'politicians' (Al Gore) are creating false facts in order to get the world to believe in climate change.

Why is there no evidence of warm weather? How come many regions are getting the most snowfall they have in ages?

Many scientists believe Planet X (a planet in conjunction with the sun) is causing warmth to the planet, and believe a solar flare will occur in 2012 when this planet lines up with the sun. The media is showing icebergs melting in the north pole, yet ignore the fact that in Iceland ice is developing rapidly.

Do some research my friend, it's all out there.

2012, planet x (youtube it), the global warming hoax (youtube, Google), and so on. You will find many interesting facts about this.
