Dreadlorde's a Weenix Loonie (I jest! I jest!) so there's no way on earth he's using WinQuake. I guess he's more likely referring to a driver bug inherited from a WinQuake codebase?

Yes. I'm messing around with the original source while learning C. I probably don't have mouse support because X.org is shit. I'll have to stare at the code for a little while.

I would recommend to anyone who has a laptop to play Quake to use an external Keyboard and mouse. For me, my D key gets trashed (I guess I prefer to strafe right or something). You can ALWAYS replace an external keyboard far cheaper than the internal one on your laptop! Also Dont game consoles support USB keyboards? I know the Wii does.

This is the trackball I use. It's Kensington. I got it for only $10 at circuit city when they were closing.

          Expert Mouse® - K64325 - Kensington

It works great. Button 1 in thumb position for fire, button 2 for quick grenade, and button 4 (top left) for quick SNG.

I'm really curious to try one of these. Looks interesting and fun to actually pull a trigger when you fire. Might be interesting (or awkward) combined with a joystick for movement.
