Hi!
Missed this earlier as I was so wrapped up in quests for answers
I haven't really touched Quake for a few years until today. Grabbed the latest dark places version and it's all as I remember it, but looks a hell of a lot better.
My big interest is to set up a coop server with some custom mods etc. Or maybe one custom and one classic... time will tell.

-r0t.uk- DM - Mapvote - r0t.uk:26000

@slackhead That sounds great! If you are into Coop I gotta mention Kleshik! Wicked_Lord has a server up right now you can try it. Requires Darkplaces and I suggest downloading a snapshot from that link I gave you. Should get you up and running. The server is mia.quakeitup.com:26003. Of course they also have RQuake Coop and servers for it are already up just check on the Quakeone.com home page on the right side bar for list of servers already up. Welcome to the community!

But Trenchbroom gives me motivation to try it out again - what an amazing tool.
Just wanted to say hi and thanks for everyone.

I've attempted to contact him a few times through varied channels lately, but if I had to place bets I'd put it on mark/mom dicking around. But,then again, look at how articulate the wording is. Clearly not a mark product.Could be a troll.

Hello
Yes, it's me. I was invited to post in the forum by Mindzy. He said you are all interested in invigorating the Q1 community with something new.
I haven't thought about what could be done in the vanilla Q1 universe because I usually make a different game. I Usually do one sequel them move on.
If I was going to extend Q1 I would make a new texture set and create a new episode in a new dimension (#5).
If I was limiting the new stuff to only levels and not textures I would create an episode that was a 9-level Ebon Fortress. All levels would keep going vertical until the next level. At the top you'd have a huge open-top castle layout and looking over the edge would look like a forever drop.
That's my $.02.
