Anyone remember the old dmplus mod? tripwires, teleport etc.. It ran on junker.org forever! Well I was in the DMPC clan, I played that mod 24/7. Over a decade and a half I have decided to revisit it!

I used to play at Junker a lot over a dialup from the UK and was a big fan ever since. I have tried to occassionally keep in touch with the guy who wrote it (DMPC-Crunch) and entice him back but I'm working on that (probably in vane).
I remember a guy with a very similar name to "Anthrax" who had taken the code that I sent you and added more groovy ideas like a "Fein death" impulse and put up his own server.

I don't suppose you would happen to be the same guy by any chance?

Server needs some work. Fun mod, but it needs a timelimit, a fraglimit, and a map rotation if it doesn't already have one. Every time I join it's always on start.

The server is indeed offline at the moment, I had a vps for a few other sites. My $ well ran dry, hopefully by the end of this summer we will be able to pay another VPS up for 3 or 4 years.


That was indeed I who added the feign death to the original dmplus code. That was so many moons ago I can't even figure how to obtain the master pass to the original code, let alone add or modify any of it

We will be back though it may take a few months, this mod was just too much fun to let die. I would sure like to play with me old clan [DMPC] very long time ago, very fond memories.

Jimmy [DMPC], Crunch [DMPC], tergiversant [DMPC], STOMPER [DMPC] and me there may have been others but damn it was so long ago. Then I remember GENERAL NUISANCE he taught me the alias name trick and is still a quake God in my eyes today

I still love to play quake and you can find me at quake.shmack.net until we get our own DMPlus server usually play with the names, y so srs, come at me bro lol

The feign death was a really nice touch, I seem to recall you had your own server and gave me the tour one day.

By the way, I could be wrong but I have a sneaking suspicion Polarite might have put a DMP server up. If you talk to him nicely he might give you a game or two.

You know with all the new games on PC, all the new technology, all the new consoles, Quake 1 still kicks royal ass! I play almost every night at shmack, here lately I think we have had a botter there though, which really sucks. I know I am not the best player but I am not bad at all and when I am losing by thirty to forty frags something ain't right, kinda takes the fun out of it but I am a determined player and stay as long as I can I usually don't get to play till the night time, so come look for me one of these days at shmack under the name y so syrs
