    Any different Quake 1 Sound Effects out there ?

    I've been searching all day but I can't seem to find anything.
    I'm looking for some new sound effects for Quake 1. I got pretty tired of the stock ones.

    Are there any good ones out there ?

    There's some out there. I did come across one before that used more realistic sounds for the weapons. Didn't like it as it was out of place. If I come across it again I will post the link.

    Although, so many modern games have great sounds. You always could rip them and put them in Quake. I used to have some Gears 1/2 sounds in Quake.

          Hello Boston,

          the one and only that could be mentioned and match up with stock ID1 sound feeling is:
          mindgrid:audio - QUAKE

          I guess that is what OoPpEe was referring too as well.
          Personally I also use 2 hand-full or so sound files from it.
