  • SplitScreen engine?

Just a quickie question, but has there ever been a quake engine (outside n64) that supported splitscreen play? I've been showing off Quake1 to local un-initiated friends on my laptop lately.

We rumble a little about doing a co-op run but the excitement to do it starts to ween as we look at the steps we have to do to get to the fun-part (installing the game, the mod im using, setting up the networking stuff on a diff. computer, etc). These aren't guys with lots of PC know-how either.

So here's where the question comes in. Are there any split-screen/dual windowed quake engines that could run a co-op or dm game off one computer? maybe even using montor A as player 1, and external monitor B as player 2?

    thanks for hearing me out

Yeah, I'm really dying to play the RMQ mod through the regular levels with some people.

Yes, look for my post about Multiplayer on 1 PC, if you need asssistancce I can find it for you. I'll grab my shovel and dig it up :F Some one posted a ton of info about getting it running but I FAILED. Forewarned, it will be a challenge. Supports 4 players !! Stipulations do occur as well about the player structuring.
