Just a quickie question, but has there ever been a quake engine (outside n64) that supported splitscreen play? I've been showing off Quake1 to local un-initiated friends on my laptop lately.
We rumble a little about doing a co-op run but the excitement to do it starts to ween as we look at the steps we have to do to get to the fun-part (installing the game, the mod im using, setting up the networking stuff on a diff. computer, etc). These aren't guys with lots of PC know-how either.
So here's where the question comes in. Are there any split-screen/dual windowed quake engines that could run a co-op or dm game off one computer? maybe even using montor A as player 1, and external monitor B as player 2?
thanks for hearing me out
