If Quake was a movie...

If Quake was a film, I wonder who would play the role of the Quake marine (Ranger). I think that Jason Statham (pardon my spelling) could be Ranger. Jason Statham has been in numerous action movies; he played the main role in the Transporter movies. But should the Quake marine be bald? (I guess that it doesn't really matter.) As long as his acting is good, that's what really counts.

It would be very hard to squeeze Quake's story into two hours, but I guess it would be possible. Some people made a movie for House of the Dead, so I suppose that the possibility of making a Quake movie is not very far-fetched. With computer animation, it would be easy to produce a film version of the Shub. Unfortunately, to a degree, the director(s) would have to edit Quake's story (this has always been the case). But the main idea would remain the same: Destroy Quake and save the human race.

Well... it's not for everyone; but it's a classic; and it pioneered the medium of "Machima" (game engine animation) to the world. Give it a chance. I think it should have been released in episodes of a season; but hey... it's a great little story.

i watched it in sections, it was cool seeing a Quake styled movie. It could be way better today though.

:/ - I was trying to be funny. I'm up to the introduction of Jack Torres. I think I'm gonna "bookmark the play head" and watch the rest later though. I can appreciate the work that went into this, but in reality, this is just a whole damn lot of watchin' people with epilepsy walk around. I started getting interested when the ogre teleported in, but it went back to being really boring pretty quick.

yes i actually thought it was quite neat myself, and its interesting to see how with the limited technology they had they still managed to make this.

before never bothered but earlier today i finally got around to watching it when i saw the post to the full movie on youtube, and i personally thought it was quite nice and cool.
imo it was interesting all through the movie. only some of the parts where phil runs through the maps killing everything couldve been done better at some moments, especially the cthon fight. without thinking he 'magically knew' what to do which was kinda lame imo.
but the rest of the movie was imo pretty nice, watched it from start to end in one go without being bored a single moment.

but imo they managed to do quite well with expanding the little attempt-at-story ID had for the game.
and some parts were quite funny, especially phil was hilarious at moments... 'i have just one word for you... boom!'

Holy friggin crap...I can't believe I just watched that almost straight through! After jack Torres gets introduced it seems like the story picks up and actually turned out to be pretty good. I think it would have to be almost an hour longer to fix some "skippy" parts though.

Not showing Nehahra at the end was sucky. That was their big chance to make some crazy bad ass model and they blow it with a glowing hole in the ground.

Kudos to the makers though. That shit must have taken forever to create and the custom maps were amazing.

You should play Nehahra; it has single and multiplayer options.
"Seal of Nehahra" is the movie. Nehahra, is the game where you play Jack Torres, and as you progress through the game there are a few more cut-scenes that help tie off the story.

Nehahra was really awesome when I played it way back. I remember It blew my mind because it had cutscenes and voice actors.
