It's been a week, that is hardly a long time. I'd say more good than bad has come out of this. I don't get why this discussion bothers you at this point? There's always the option of not reading it.

It's not a thankless job, in fact, it's not a "job" at all. It's ridiculous that some people just can't take responsibility for their actions and say "sorry guys, after doing some reflection on what has taken place, I can see I'm in the wrong". You have pretty much the entire Quake community with people who have played for 15+ years here telling you that you shouldn't ban anyone seeking to find players for their mod.

Moreover, Muller (or any other player for that matter) can choose to play any game they want. He's not "stealing" someone, when that person acted under their own power and left the CA server to go play elsewhere. Since when do we dictate where people want to play? DM/CTF players will often play CA until a game starts in another mod, then they will hop over to a different server. This is common practice in video games..

Bluntz, you're a cool guy, but clearly you're a stubborn individual.. I am too.. but if I was in your shoes.. I would look at the entire situation and see that what I did clearly wasn't in the best interest of the public, I think this is the duty of anyone who has "admin powers".. not to abuse it..

I think sometimes when you pass thor's hammer too quickly to an individual who has never held that kind of power before, they go wild with it..

Crow is in fact a good guy, that's part of the reason I was irritated. It would be nice if he would just admit he messed up, but at this point when everyone but mindz condemns his actions, that's good enough for me.

I certainly have no hate for any of you DM CTF CA or otherwise.Being an admin is a thankless job that nobody in his right mind would want.Nobody was actually banned ,I removed them the next morning and have no love for bans myself,believe it or not.

What the hell are you talking about? No one was complaining, you took it upon yourself to do the banning. So saying it is a thankless job is ridiculous since no one is asking you to do things that you're doing.

Also saying "nobody was actually banned" but meaning that they were only banned for a short time is not the same thing.

Crow, people like to play different mods. Many DM'ers will play CA to pass the time until they can get a DM game. That's just the way it is. Banning people for asking other people if they want to play another mod is absolutely petty and childish.

in other news....guys go easy on crow....im surprised he still plays the game hes prob been yelled at by every quaker i know at some time or another but still comes back and fills in when we need someone for a game...he's even gotten a little better since his ping lowered....its obv he cant control the bane and has a hate for dmers but who wouldnt after getting picked last in every game for 6 years(except if CD was playing).....anyhoo yah he f'd up so take away his admin just dont go ostricising a member of the community we got so few as it is....anyway my names smokey and i like to write long sentences followed by dots....
