Im posting this again in this sticky thread:

As you can see i have attempted to collect in an easy format for reference and download, all the classic Q1SP maps/episodes.

the two main pages you should look are:

my "hall of Fame" page (all time best)
    http://www.planetquake.com/underworld/qclassics.html

in addition, my "q1sp recommended maps page"
    http://www.planetquake.com/underworl...commended.html

these two page contain all the best SP maps since 1996 voted for by players or picked by me.

lastly, all new maps from when my site opened for reviews, (nov 2002), are here:

Eventually, I'd like to make a Single Player resources page and I'll be putting those links at the top.

That's what I used to get started in single player and never looked back. :d

(The RetroQuake ppl did a good job too, but I don't agree with their ratings ... Lunaran's deserved a 15 out of 10, heheh j/k).

      edit=typo

Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

I recommend going to http://disenchant.net/maps.html to get the OUM pack. It's a partial converstion with some good ideas. I have yet to check out moonlite, but it was mentioned at a map forum as being awesome.

          Hi!
Can anyone remember, what Q1SP maps do these screens belong to:

          1) http://www.quaketastic.com/upload/fi...cherjagged.jpg
          -something for Quoth

          2) http://www.quaketastic.com/upload/fi...ots/nsoe2a.jpg
          -a part of mappack

          Google keeps silence
          Thanks!

Sadly I've probably played all of the maps I'd likely really enjoy, as I'm super-choosy. THere are just SOOO many dealbreakers in a map that will turn me off, so many that if I listed them I'd look like a jumbo jerk!!!!!

Hell, at this point I'd be unlikely to touch a map that lacked custom monsters or guns (although I'm actually playing fbase at the moment which is pretty awesome so far).

Even most of the favorite mods/maps don't grab me.

I know there are a couple really good custom maps, but when I just want to kill some monsters, I play vanilla Episode 1. I could probably use the shareware for this.

This is probably because none of the custom maps have any more interesting gameplay than vanilla Quake. Otherwise I play the maps that friends work on.

When I need something different, I play other games.

King Hazza: Make your own then.

                Rune of Earth Magic

                  I actually might.

Although don't get me wrong, most of the maps actually are pretty awesome, the only downfall is the designers keep putting in minor features that annoy the hell out of me (the most common one being a slow build-up towards the decent guns- or obstacle traps/jumping puzzles).

                    Thanks for this post.

I'll get around to playing Nehahra, if I ever get it working with Qrack.

I get this error with -game nehahra...

I can't get Beyond Belief to work with it either.

Traps that result in instant death suck the life out of a map for me.
