Probably the coolest thing in the singleplayer forum

I can't get it working without it crashing (missing a file). I can't get it to run at all with the "-quoth -game warp -heapsize 48000". I could get the demo running by taking the -quoth out. This happens on winwarp, nehwarp, and glwarp.

using -quoth always gives me THIS error:

attempting to run start.bsp gives me THIS error:
    Code:
    SpawnServer: start
    Clearing memory
    Programs occupy 837K, 46785 statements, 27695 globals
    Host_Error: Mod_LoadModel: progs/s_plas.spr not found
Can't wait to try this out

It might be better to post this in the Func_ thread (http://celephais.net/board/view_thread.php?id=60073) as I'm not sure if ijed checks this forum.

Anyway, I can't see what the first error is; the image is too small and fuzzy. What file is missing?

The 2nd error is because you either forgot the -quoth option (required) or that you haven't got the Quoth mod installed in the quoth directory (also required). You can get Quoth from here: http://kell.leveldesign.org/

Good! Sometimes it's better to keep all the Q/A in one thread though, so others can benefit from the solutions too.

The inv_laser error is because the -quoth option enables similar engine behaviour as the -hipnotic option and this requires a gfx.wad file with specific Hipnotic stuff in it (here the status bar inventory item for the laser gun). All should be solved by the Quoth mod getting installed.

Has 60 replies @ Func_Msgboard which is a little more than the norm there, so this must be a good one. I'll have to try it.

Got the same error first with an 'old' Quoth package.
Dlded/reinstalled a fresh Quoth pack along with fresh Spasm mod.
                  Everything OK then.

                  This pack is I N S A N E !

                    whoops . . .

Sielwolf pointed out that I forgot to add one important thing to the readme - that Quoth is needed. Also, make sure to put the exe's outside the warp folder along with FMOD (for Nehahra engine variant only), though it should extract like that anyway.

The pack has 2000+ monsters and 60ēkm+ of play space.

                    Enjoy.

I've just played 10 minutes of this and it is so easy to tell that this is an unusually hand-crafted and designed single player release. Feels like a throwback to OUM or some of other adventure themed releases with a plot in it and I've always liked those.

ijed, if you read this, do you mind if I make an installer for this? With a 7-Zip, custom engines, and the Quoth add-on required, there are going to be some people who simply aren't going to figure this out.

Canadian*Sniper got the start map to load, but now he's stuck in it and can't figure out how to get out.

This is pretty good. The 2nd map is rather gigantic, which leads to players like me getting lost but eventually I solved it.
