  • Hotel Internet

You know when you pay $177.00 for a night in a hotel and the internet is total shit it sucks.

What really gets me is I am pinging my server's cax.quakeitup.com at 7ms in CMD prompt and then I go onto the server and it goes from 10 ping to 1000+ ping and sits over 1000+ until i disconnect or it disconnects me. Hotels now days need to realize they can get FASTER INTERNET for cheap. The speed test results are 1.58mbps down and 0.23mbps up really? wow horrible shit good thing its free.

So much for a little bit of quake tonight, I will just go ahead and install this 7 disc monster GTA 5!!!!

It might have to do with cmd prompt pings use like 32bytes of data per ping and I'm betting each packet of Quake is probably well over that.

Too much porn surfers prolly though.

After midnight I went on and it was great. Went to Quaketx pinged 15ms in game, went to CAX pinged 5ms in game, went to shmack pinged 20ms in game went to ffany pinged 25ms in game went to speaknow pinged 35ms in game. This is an AT&T connection and the ping is fantastic. I opened up Qlive and dallas, washington d.c. and chicago server's all 15-30 ping lol. Crazy I might have to move up here to Cartersville, GA just to enjoy some sweet pings when I am home lol.

HA HA HA HA HA HA!! I remember using dialup in a hotel room. I had to drive to Walmart and buy a modem and a cable. Then I connected at the mind-blowing speed of 16 kbps!

Are you having issues with your current provider? You get fasters speeds with your cable. Just avoid U-VERSE at all cost. Its not fastpath and your ping will be 30ms higher.
