I wanna quit fucking with this guy, but he just keeps posting this dumb garbage and it's impossible.

I have him blocked for a darn good reason. He has some serious life issue's and I have tried to be friendly with him in the past but he just drive's people absolutely crazy. He has had several run in's with other member's here and was even banned for quite some time over a threat he made to another member.

I typically don't block people, But to settle the argument's because I am one who will keep going back at it, I just blocked him to keep myself in check. I know he can still read my comment's as long as he log's out and peers through the forum as a guest.

You kids keep expressing the sentiment that a person should be open-minded and question things. And yet particular types of people read one or two webpages about 9/11 conspiracies and you never bother to question it. The "facts" they present are often easily proven to be outright lies. The rest of the time, they do not provide facts, they only pose accusational questions to the reader, like, "Why are the columns broken diagonally as if it were a controlled detonation?" ...But conspicuously fail to mention that a column covered in explosives would NOT retain that diagonal feature because a blast that big would turn that portion of the column to dust, derp. It's manipulation by misdirection, and "open-minded" people who aren't experienced enough to know to look for it happen to be very susceptible to the method.

And don't try to pretend that any of you conjured these thoughts up all by yourself. I read the same sites too. You aren't unique or individualistic or whatever else you want to pretend you are. Face it, you allowed yourself to be spoonfed these theories because you already had a deep seated mistrust of the government. You WANT to believe they're awful enough to do such a thing, and it clouds your judgment and seduces you into buying these stories. I get it though. Shit, I don't trust the government either. But I also don't trust someone else just because they ALSO don't trust the government.

The 9/11 crap just bothers me. Saying the govt might've been involved seems disrespectful to the victims of it. The victims would want revenge and anger to rain down on the heads of their murderers, not someone else. They wouldn't want the circumstances of their deaths to be misremembered.

Regarding what WL said. I have helped FAR FAR FAR more people here than I have ever had conflict with. As far as GB goes I stood up to someone abusing their privilege. I could have done it better but, I didn't. I know it's fun and everything to make me out to be so terrible but, that doesn't accomplish anything.

The same could be said for those that watch the news and believe some old guy in a suit claiming he has forensic evidence. The problem with you is you assume these are the only possibilities. You refuse to accept that someone has done tons of personal research and come to the same conclusion as the "conspiracy sites" or at least leaning more in that direction. This is why your opinion is useless. It's your way or the person must be a sheep. Being skeptical and mistrusting is wise. Allowing that mistrust to dictate what you can and can't believe is not wise and will prevent a person from viewing things 100% objectively. It leads to radicalization. It's why ISIS is ISIS and it's why people participate in senselessly destructive and violent riots when a cop shoots someone even when it may be justified.

On the other hand... I do consider myself to be an objective thinker most of time. And from an objective standpoint, it occurs to me that riots just might be necessary at certain times. Often the government will ignore problems when they can afford to. But they can't ignore 5000 angry citizens burning down half the city. And whoever said, "Violence never solves anything." was not entirely correct. Violence is how the American colonies gained their independence from Britain. Violence is how Japan was stopped in WW2. Violence is how a school bully gets his ass whooped in the bathroom by you and 3 of your friends and learns to stop fucking with you. Violence certainly DOES solve things... sometimes. It should be the very last thing on the list and only used when everything before it is already crossed off. In the case of the recent riots over police shooting black people,... I don't think it's a entirely a warranted "last resort" response. Then again, if it brings about change that causes the government to hold police more accountable for the way they perform their job, that's probably a good thing.
