Thanks for stopping the auto on auto play vid advertisments. I really appreciate it. Is this costing you advertising dollars to drop those more intrusive ads? If the community is ever in need of donations to keep things running, please let us know.

firefox has an addon to remove fullscreen or skip this ad ad's if they are bothersome to people, the addon is called rip, or remove it permanently.. also another good addon is script block, however it gets on my nerves at times. how rip works is you right click and click remove iframe on the skip this ad, ad that appears and remove every part of it.

I haven't heard a response yet since Wednesday. I'm assuming they may be off for the holiday weekend. As I said before, some of the video ads have been removed. There's a few more still i rotation and the full screen ads are still randomly appearing. Hopefully those will be removed next week.

Im fine with all of the ads except the full screen ones - those ones are VERY annoying. The sounds - don't bother me much as I usually have my speakers off unless I am gaming or doing graphics (NiN's Ghosts album is the BEST for that)

It's still being worked on. Some of the video ads have been removed. I'm going to request the full screen ads be removed as well.

Well, its got worse. I am seeing them after I post a reply, in FULL PAGE in my browser, and sometimes when I click on a thread, same thing. I will probably be told to use a different browser.

I don't mind the ads , we all know they are needed.
In fact it would be nice if you could get gaming ads for PC games only.

Glad to see you understand the point. I think the suggestion of a donation is a great idea if you want to eliminate an advertising experience when you log in. I dont think anyone who is visiting and NOT logged in is gonna complain about these kind of ads, so this might be a good experience for visitors to the site. The real dedicated followers are gonna use logins. There is also alot of other things you can do to generate income on a site like this with alot of content. Probably this has been discussed before, and no one wants to see this become a pay site, else the ads would not be up.

They were not inteded to be intrusive, hence why you only see one ad in the upper right and a small text block of ads in the left column, nothing more. I completely agree the video ads are annoying and intrusive. I apologize for not posting sooner about this but believe me, they are in the process of being addressed.

I'll keep you guys updated but hopefully those auto-play video ads will be ended next week.

I like to open multiple windows for each thread im viewing and it isnt worth the hassle lately because i have 3 rizzos, an infinity ad and an att ad all talking at once

I know the ads are there to pay for the site, so I don't make too much of a fuss about them. I just could do without my browser getting hijacked by them, heh.

For now, I've got some hacky stuff going on involving the restricted sites list for IE and the URLs the ads are coming from.

hmm you are right, i was using a diff add block then the one you are referring to. I switched to the "Google Ad Block" and update chrome as well. Now it seems to be stable. Should have done this months ago. No more RIZZO.

i have a problem with the ads. They are way to intrusive. I dont like Firefox and refuse to use it. I use IE and google chrome. I have a plugin for chrome that blocks that stuff but it isnt 100% and randomly crashes the browser so i dont use it most of the time.

Sure it is on us as individuals to protect ourselves but those fucking ads are too much. I am starting to browse to quakeone less lately because of them. If you accidentally scroll near or around those adds it unmute/unpauses them.

I would rather start donating to quakeone like $5 a month to keep these types of ads off the website.

Google chrome's ad block never crashes.
What shitty addon are you using?

Besides Firefox does suck, unless you like a memory hog that takes leaks on your memory.
I don't like a browser that pisses on my memory, thank you very much.

Use Chrome. The one and only browser I choose to use. The rest are garbage compared to it.
