  • Finding Previously Viewed Topics

A couple people mentioned that when they click on the newest posts on the forum, it gets automatically removed from the list of new posts and sometimes cannot find the topic again if they did not comment on it.

First off, this is a deliberate feature of the forum. If it didn't remove off of the list of new posts, then that list would never be trimmed down; it'd contain every post on the forum.

If you're having this problem, you can always "Subscribe" to a thread. When browsing a thread, just above the first post in the upper right corner is a link that says "Thread Tools." Clicking on that will open a menu that has a link which says "Subscribe to this Thread." Click on that and you'll be taken to a new page which will allow you to subscribe to the thread. There are two drop down mneus here. The first lets you receive email notifications of new posts (turn this off if you only want to save the thread link for future viewing). The second lets you choose what folder to save your subscription to (more on this below). Hit the "Add Subscription" button and the thread will now be saved in your subscriptions section of your User CP.

You can access your subscriptions within your User CP. In the left column, below the navigation menu and sponsors box is a box titled User CP. Click on the title and you'll be taken to the User CP main page. On that page you'll see a series of links spanning across the page. Click on "Subscribed Threads" and you'll have the option to list all of your subscriptions and to modify the folders in which you can save your subscriptions to.

This may be an underutilized feature of the forum and may help you keep track of important threads you wish to keep tabs on in the future.
