  • How to level select for Mission Packs? (Darkplaces port)

I expected it to replace the existing levels and that the standard Map e1m1 command would work but that just takes you to the regular levels, not the mission pack specific levels... how do I warp to a specific mission pack level?

Edit: So this is correct syntax?

    Mission Pack 1: hip#m#
    Mission Pack 2: r#m#

Apparently the Map command is meant to show all available maps when entered without additional parameters, yet in Darkplaces it doesn't.

Nicholas Steel, you can play the original levels when you play the mission packs as well. They are only extensions more or less to the original gameplay. So, if you want you can shoot around with your mission pack weapons when using impulse 9 cheat for example.

The available maps will be displayed when typing: maps into console.
It will list all .bspīs from within current mod folder as well as original id1 folder.

You can of course also open the .pak files which contain the map files to see their map names.
    Then type: map [mapname]

Be aware that start map is always calld start.bsp. Otherwise it would not be able to load it via ingame menu.

Like I said, Darkplaces will display a "helpful/descriptive" message explaining what the Maps command does if you type it in to the console without any additional arguments, instead of listing all available levels by their name.

Nicholas Steel, read my post again.
You will then notice the difference for sure:
The command is: maps and not map. Pay attention to the "s".
It shows all bspīs for me just fine.

You only use the "map" command to change maps. Not to list them.
