czg ... the guy that made Insomnia (most famous custom Quake single player episode ever) and several Doom 2 style Quake maps 5 years ago ... has released a single player secret project.

As far as I know he hasn't released a Quake map in 7 years and the comments at Func Msgboard are saying this map set makes elite mappers cry. Known for his sense of humor, this is no April Fool's joke.

Not related: According Dr. Abuse, the modder of the "unnamed" mod in the previous news update has released this mystery mod for Windows and the PSP (Playstation Portable).

Dont know how to load honey

this is a little embarrassing...but could someone teach me how to load this map in darkplaces. I've placed it in my dp folder but evrytime i enable honey in the mods options, dp just crashes immediately. Any help/reply would be much appreciated.

you must start it with this command 'darkplaces.exe -game honey'

you need to start it with parameter '-game honey' instead of just '+map honey'
cuz honey has its own progs.dat

and put the maps plus progs.dat that comes with it in its own map named honey inside your quake directory, and not just put the maps into ID1/maps. its not just a map but also a mod

and then start the game with 'darkplaces.exe -game honey', and just start new game from main menu to play the maps

Splitterface meant to say folder not maps, put honey in its own folder named honey inside quake.

It really is beautifully done, but Darkplaces does not work well for me as I could not even get onto the first ramp in ithe first map saint.Quakespasm had no issues with it,and handled fog much better as well.
