  • proquake config

    Hi folks ,

I'm a quakeworld player and need some help with proquake settings.
Could someone post me a decent config file for proquake please.
It seems to me that netquake is the same fun to play

    Thanks!

notice the binded keys, they are only used for strafing side to side and moving backward, you can use any keys you like in place of what i use.. mine are s d x, alot of people use keyboard to walk forward instead of mouse button, so if you prefer that add the command bind anykey "+forward" If you want to make a customized cfg that is seperate from the autoexec.cfg file that loads when quake does, use notepad and type in your commands, use the save as feature and end the file name with .cfg and have it saved to the quake/id1 folder

and to run the customized config file from quake, type exec filename.cfg in the console.

mine is very basic, some people use alias commands for more complex configs. basically they can assign a set of commands to a name, and use the name as a command.

This makes for clean netquake gaming (no flashy shit/cloudy water=gg)

Thanks , yea I use wasd to move.
I tested these settings and it runs better then before.
With my ezquake quakeworld configs on proquake I had too many unknown commands
Just some little problem with shooting dark areas they seem to stay dark...
