    Rook, how you turn on the 3 maps in a row feature in CAx?
    Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

    So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

    in the ca.cfg add

    skill 3
    maprecycle

    this will recycle the map for 3 matches.

    Obviously you can use 1 - 999 if you wish instead of 3...

      Didn't you mention something like being able to add a "DM3.txt" file to your maps folder to load up specific custom commands for that specific map also?

        ya just create a file like {mapname}.cfg for any map u want to specify certain options.

        example

        //DM3 specific config

        //These must be set in this order
        // setmaxplayers
        // setstartplayers
        // setmaxteams
        //----------------------------------

        //Set Maximum Players
        //Number of players per team allowed
        //default 8
        //----------------------------------

          Rook, Phenom and I did a lot of tests last night and it seems that the map rotation gets stuck on the last map and does not rotate.

          Our levels.cfg looks like this:

          It will get stuck on chesdm1 and repeat it over and over.

          We weren't using any dm3.cfg or (level).cfg files, although after we get this working we'd like to.

          Maybe we are doing something wrong somehow.

          /The FTP to the server is the same, the Quake server DNS has changed to bomber.quakeone.com if you need to take a look at it.

            Is this on the DREDD servers? Because both DREDD and DREDD2 don't work properly, and always get stuck on the level loading screen, eventually.

              It looks partly because those map aliases are not available
              ie "unknown command DM3" etc... but it does find chesdm1
              lemme look at my cfg/src and see what the problem is..
              Although I though dredd didn't have DM3 on the warp list.
              All maps in the "levels.cfg" must be in the warp list.
              The mod creates macro aliases for each map in the warp menu
              (mainly defined in the strings.qc actually)...

              Of course user-defined maps can also be added to the warp menu via user.cfg and using catool.exe and then to levels.cfg for rotation.

              ps. About 6 months ago it did get stuck on intermission i had an && not an || where it looked for buttons pressed during intermision, so the bug was u had to press fire and jump at the same time, but that was fixed.

                well, i went to dredd and dredd2 a couple of days ago, and dredd was stuck in intermission, played one round on dredd2, and then it became stuck in intermission. Both seem to be down, atm.

                  weird cause its the same intermission code from quake 1.06 :S

                  hmm ill look at it tonight when i get home cause, this doesnt happen at all on my ctf mod...

                    Thanks for the info, I couldn't figure out the mystery. I thought whatever maps happened to be in levels.cfg would run.

                    So ... note to self, don't add some random map that isn't in the warp list to the levels.cfg.

                      Wow, this is absolutely fantastic.

                      CAx is certainly a highly configurable mod.

                      /A little hard to setup the fancy stuff, but hey -- that's someone else's problem now that I have this one working :d :d (that's a joke) and can probably be documented in a wiki or something.
