Office Space never in threatres?

I just found out today that the movie Office Space never was in theatres, back when it came out. That's odd for a movie that was so popular and Jennifer Aniston was in it too.

Office Space was in theaters. In fact I saw it in one. It flopped though - no one went to see it and it didn't bring in any money. I don't think it had a widespread release as most movies get.

i too saw it in the theatre. I don't think it was as mainstream as LOTR though.
