Let's see... currently que'd up in Winamp we have:
KMFDM
Scraping Foetus off the Wheel
C-Tec
Pantera
Johnny Cash
Rammstein
Silverchair
A healthy mix. I enjoy a ton of music, and like to keep from listening to any one style too much.
I'm actually into a German band like Rammstein. They're called In Extremo, and they actually use bagpipes in their music. Strange as it sounds, it's actually really hardcore and sounds awesome.
Imagine Rammstein with bagpipes and you'll get the idea.
Music can be a touchy subject, people treat their favorite styles like a relegion or political affiliation or way of life. So I don't want to hear anyone going "Linkin Park is soo ghey" or "How can u listen to that rap shit?"
SOAD is not nu-metal.
or don't you have what it takes to see the difference?
this generalization for nu-metal being "shit" is far-fetched. it's certainly more mainstream than other rock/metal subgenres, but that does not necessarily prove anything.
SOAD isn't good metal is all I know. Most of the songs sound the same, poppy and the same types of boring riffs. Theres always these quiet parts where the drummer plays the cymbal and the singer sings. I can't stand that. I like the metal blasting constantly.
