Quake TF

Hi,

I played quake in the net ten years ago, about 1998-2000.
Server was in Finland something like quake.inet.fi
I quess that it was Quake TF? Don't really remember.

Anyway, is it still possible to play this game on the net nowdays?
I would be great to try this again, cause back then we played something
like 8 hours/day!

I remember maps 2fort4, well6, bases. Is there any place where these maps
could be played?

Also, is it possible to play this with XP or Vista?
And what I need to play these, quake1? Quakeworld?

If someone could give the instructions, it would be great.

There are a few Quakeworld servers up that people play Team Fortress on. Check http://www.quakeservers.net/quakeworld/servers/t=tf/ for a list of active servers. I have not played TF in over 6 or so years, but I think you will need one of the newer Quakeworld clients, Fuhquake should work. You may need to do some searching to find the necessary TF files for Quakeworld. With a little googling you should be able to find them. Also check #megateamfortress on irc.gamesurge.net. The people there should be able to help you out.

I wouldnt call customTF "alive." I mean unless you consider the COOP servers playing TF, which I could do the same thing by loading up TF and playing single player....

We get about 20 people a night. Yeah its not much but we get good games every night about 6-9 pm Pacific.

Any other TF servers in America? Id like to know.
